Novels “The Heather Blazing” and “Brooklyn” by Colm Tóibín, a contemporary Irish writer, are set in his native town, Enniscorthy. In those novels different views of the town are depicted, and comparison of them provides a complex image of space, which is used as a narrative instrument by the author. A significant part of this study will base on analysing the projected places and their connection to narrative in those novels.
