Consequences of Alcohol Policy in Russia: Analysis for Different Age Brackets

For many years the Russian government and previously USSR tried to fight the problem of alcoholism in the country, but only nearly 20 years ago the government began to bring up complex measures to reduce alcohol consumption. The main aim of this work is to find out distinctive features of age groups reaction to different alcohol policies. This research is based on regression analysis that is conducted on the panel data. The statistical data is provided by RLMS for the recent 8 years. The work revealed that the impact of different anti-alcohol measures are not the same for the presented age groups. It also showed that group of young people (15 – 24 years old) price regulations are effective for all age groups
