The purpose of this work is to develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of the logistics process in the warehouse of a clothing retailer. The paper reviewed typical problems in the implementation of this process, as well as their causes, and developed a general system of measures to improve this process. In the practical part, by the example of a specific warehouse of a trading company, specific problems of the warehouse’s functioning were identified, the main one being the under-utilization of the vertical space of the warehouse. Problems were also found at other stages of the logistic process in the warehouse. As measures for improvement, the introduction of mezzanine structures, address storage systems, warehouse management systems, changing the method of order picking, defining a set of key performance indicators of the warehouse and a number of other measures were proposed. The economic efficiency of the proposed measures is reflected in the strategic profit model.
