The Impact of B2B Digital Platforms on Business Architectures

The market of digital platforms is developing very quickly today: new software that uses innovative technologies and technological trends is developed. Now, to be competitive, each company needs to transform its processes into a digital format, which of course will affect its architecture as a whole. Nevertheless, such changes contribute to business development, and digital platforms are one of the most powerful and popular tools for it. The main purpose of this work is to study the impact of such technological trend of Industry 4.0 as digital b2b e-commerce platforms on the business architecture of companies. The paper identifies the components of companies' business, which are impacted by digital platforms during the implementation into business processes, and also defines what exactly is this impact. Knowledge of b2b e-commerce platforms, which are actually used in business, was systematized, comparative analysis of the types of these platforms was carried out and the processes of implementation and use of these platforms were investigated. In addition, the specific advantages obtained by the company in the application of digital platforms were highlighted, recommendations were made to improve the efficiency of the implementation process. In the practical part, the real case of B2B portal implementation was analyzed, and interviews were conducted to obtain more detailed information about the results of the project.
