Analysis of the Impact of Generation from Renewable Energy Sources on the Value of Electricity Businesses
On the wave of the modern global goal to stop destroying environmental energy and electricity corporations all over the world started committing to change their production strategy to support a “green” mission. Nevertheless, business is not business if it do not think about economic side of the situation. Transition to the “green” production might improve financial and reputational performance of a firm. That is why, this paper set a goal to explore the question based on event study and find out whether public commitments and level of “green” generation taking into account financial and sustainable characteristics of a company impact its market value.
