The relevance of paper is to assess the current changes in the economic and transport efficiency of Russia's participation in an international project under the auspices of China, taking into account current changes. Next 3-7 years in Sino-Russian cooperation may be the most breakthrough period in their entire history, and this time is expected to be the most challenging of this relationships. The time of the redistribution of forces and influence in the international arena is full of risks, but it also provides tremendous opportunities to launch new projects, despite asymmetric economic development.
