This paper examines the relationship between the quality of corporate governance and financial performance of a company using theoretical and empirical approaches. As a model, two regression models were selected, evaluating the effect of variables expressing the quality of corporate governance on the financial performance of a firm. As the dependent variables expressing financial indicators, indicators of profitability of assets and equity were used. Further, a descriptive statics and regression analysis was conducted to identify deviations in the sample and check the significance of variables. In conclusion, the results are compared with studies by foreign and Russian scientists.
