Development of Flight Personnel of the Aviation Industry: Features and Trends
Public Administration
(Bachelor’s programme)
2019
The quality and efficiency of the flight personnel work largely determine the flight safety and comfortability characteristics. The current study is aimed at identifying the specific features of the personnel development management processes in industrial organizations operating in the field of aviation. Research methods include a literature analysis based on the subject of the research and an analysis of the organization's internal documents. The data were also collected by interviews conducted at the «AirBridgeCargo Airline» with the top-managers of this organization. The findings of the research indicate that the main function of the flight personnel development system is professional training. However, it has been revealed that professional training is implemented not only to solve one-time requirements of the organization, but systematically, based on the requirements of the dynamically developing aviation industry and on the organizational goals.
