The Influence of Consumer Sentiment Index on a Consumption Forecast in Russia and the USA

In my research I tried to find out whether the Index of Consumer Sentiment could be used in order to forecast the personal consumption in Russia and the USA for the period 2000-2017. By using different models and by adjusting data I tried to find nature of this question. Moreover, the research provides a possible explanation for differences in obtained results for Russia and the USA. The paper also refers to the previous studies and provide motives for exploring this question.
