Our research is aimed at studying the interaction of managers of industrial enterprises and workers of different nationalities in the context of the ethnic diversity of the working group. As a result of the reseach, it was important for us to understand how the perception of the otherness of workers as managers of the organization occurs and what communication mechanisms are used in the interaction of these two groups. To answer the research questions, it was decided to use a qualitative methodology. At the N metalworking enterprise, we conducted 16 semi-structured personal interviews with production managers and personnel department staff. As a result, a typology of managers was compiled on the basis of their perception of the nationality of workers, the causes of the main communication problems and interaction mechanisms associated with building a special communication structure within the team and using certain language tools were identified.
