Design and Development of a Multi-User Recommender System Based on Ontology of Business Informatics Curricula: Conceptual Model and Interaction Model Development

Nowadays, school graduates are interested in receiving education in the field of information systems and technologies. National Research University Higher School of Economics applicants are faced with the difficulty of choosing a training direction because each of them has its own subtleties, especially many questions concern the direction of Business Informatics curricula. What disciplines will be studied? What for? What will be the perspectives? The purpose of this work is to develop a software product (a conceptual model and interaction model) of a recommender system that would be able to answer the existing questions of applicants. To achieve the goal, the solution to the problem is proposed to be implemented on the basis of applying the concept of a formal ontology. The concept of ontology, software tools for working with anthologies, methods for constructing ontologies. In the practical part, fragments of a formal ontology in the field of Business Informatics are developed and key competencies and disciplines within this ontology are described.
