The thesis describes in detail the theoretical aspects of mergers and acquisitions and divestitures, analyzes various approaches to assessing the short-term and long-term effectiveness of mergers and acquisitions. A review of the sample of mergers and acquisitions transactions in the Russian transport industry is also conducted, and a practical analysis of selected transactions in this industry is given.
