The aim of this paper is to find out determinants which affect the volume of interbank loans of Russian banks. All factors are divided into two parts. Return on equity, bank liquidity, bank size and the other indicators are important bank-specific factors. Growth rate of the gross domestic products, unemployment rate, key interest rate, growth of inflation rate matter among macroeconomic factors. A dependent variable is the share of received interbank loans in bank liabilities. The data cover the period from 2014 to 2018. The sample is presented in the form of panel data and includes data for more than 190 banks. This paper presents hypotheses about the direction of influence of factors on the dependent variable. All of them are checked in Stata, Software for Statistics and Data Science, using regression.
