Correlation Between Turnout for the Election and Level of Internet Development in Different Russian Regions

Does the Internet communication become so significant innovation in people’s life that could influence on their political decisions? This work contains finding, that the level of Internet development correlated with peoples’ decision using the example of their participation in the election. Even adding number of economic and social control variables, results remain mostly significant across different Russian regions in a case of examining each election independently. Also, there is an evidence for positive relation between a winner proportion of election outcome and turnout.
