Key success factors for multisided platforms in healthcare industry

The platform business has begun to actively develop in recent years,. According to the latest data (as reported by the PwC report), this area has been growen from $ 14 billion in 2014 to $ 335 billion by 2025, with an average annual growth of 33%. Moreover, platforms for healthcare professionals becomes more and more popular, however a model that would help owners of such kind of platforms to implement it in a proper way does not exist today. The aim of this work is to identify the key success factors and develop recommendations for improvement and developing the startup project of an educational platform in the healthcare industry. The object is the platform business, while the subject is the platform business model for healthcare professionals, including the ILearn platform. The first chapter provides a comparative analysis of existing approaches to the concept of platform business, the strategies used in the platform business, key success factors for the development of the platform business, and also a model based on a theoretical study. In the second chapter, a competitive analysis of Russian platform companies was conducted, and the qualitative interrelationships of the elements of medical platform companies as well as the preferences of the target audience of the healthcare educational platform were identified. In turn, in the third chapter, the current status of the ILearn platform was analyzed, a plan of recommendations for ILearn platform was developed and a model of key strategic decisions of the platform company at the start-up stage in healthcare industry was developed. The work is presented on 86 pages. It includes: tables - 14 pcs., Images -18 pcs., Application - 2 pcs.
