Models of Craft Production in Contemporary Russia

Despite the many theories describing the economy as a continuous process of development and assuming a consistent change of production systems, practice shows that industrial production, despite its advantages over small production is not the only one in the modern world. In other words, we see that production processes are subject to the logic of mixed economy , that is, a combination of different forms of production in one market. Moreover, it is believed that today craft production is not simply co-exist with the industrial, but also gaining its popularity, developing. If we talk about dishes, clothes or furniture, design, craft and exclusive things, cause Association with small productions. It is obvious that craft production cannot exist today in the same forms as at the time of its blossom– the pre-industrial era. It changes and adapts to the realities of the modern market. However, the scale and standardized quality of goods of large manufactures, and as a consequence, the price of these goods, seem to set a high bar for small producers. However, the latter, are integrating in a given context and remain afloat, taking the proximity of such significant players into account.
