Study of the Effectiveness of Heuristic Algorithms for Solving Descrete Optimization Problems

Student: Khasanova Kseniya

Supervisor: Sergey Slastnikov

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Control Systems and Data Processing in Engineering (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2019

In the final qualifying work, the object of development is the university schedule. The aim of the work is to implement an algorithm for automatic scheduling at the university based on genetic algorithms. In addition to the mathematical description of the algorithm, a software package that implemented the algorithm was also developed. The implemented algorithm performed well in experiments, finding a solution in 765 seconds, with the most severe restrictions. The work consists of 68 pages, 19 figures, 17 tables, 4 sources of literature.
