Key Success Factors in Mastering Big Data Technologies in Banking Organizations

Big data technologies are the driver of the banking sector. The effective use of big data technology is due to the criteria of latency, focus on supporting large amounts of data, scalability and locality. The aim of the work is to identify the key success factors in the development of technologies for working with big data in banking organizations. Research tasks are following: • to reveal the problems of the banking sector and the transition to new technologies to solve these problems • consider approaches to the development of big data technologies • to explore the practical application of big data technology in the "Sberbank" and "Alfa-Bank» • systematize the results of the analysis of the practice of implementing big data technology • give recommendations on improving the efficiency of the implementation of big data technology in banking organizations. The analysis of big data technology application in Sberbank and Alfa-Bank showed that Sberbank operates in the following areas: primary data sources; corporate data warehouse; reporting, Analytics and modeling; data management policy. In turn, the "Alfa-Bank" is using big data technology, data management on the basis of a 360 MDM Client, development of client relations by processes NextBestAction. According to the results of the study, in order to improve the efficiency of the introduction of big data technology in banking organizations that attempt to implement Big Data, the following measures are proposed: a clear implementation of the stages of the introduction of big data technologies; the creation of an it architecture adapted to work with big data technologies; the selection of the most appropriate technologies from the main manufacturers of infrastructure solutions; the introduction of methods for calculating the effectiveness of the use of big data technologies in the banking sector; enhancing cybersecurity in the framework of the requirements of the financial regulators
