Year of Graduation: 2019

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that companies engaged in Maritime container transport, it is necessary to reconsider the role of departments of control of equipment as a link between the export and import flow of containers in the region. The approach to repositioning empty containers needs to be revised in terms of inventory management and to ensure that the need for empty equipment is increased at the expense of previous periods. For the supply chain of empty containers with significant volatility between import and export flows to the region, the most important buffer is the stock of empty equipment. At present, it is the stock that is the most important element of the supply chain, because other buffers of the supply chain, for this kind of stock, are less effective. The work is devoted to the problem of repositioning empty containers.
