My diploma paper's main goal is to compose a statistical model for the prediction of Russian firms' bankruptcy, which is based on the chosen sample and a number of appropriate financial ratios of the companies. My work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The first chapter of my diploma is dedicated to previous authors' researches and comparing of different bankruptcy prediction methods, its advantages and disadvantages. My list of literature consists of Russian and foreign researchers, studying companies' bankruptcies in different sectors of the economy. My goal is to analyse their works, so I can choose the appropriate method for my own model and estimated parameters with the highest prediction power. I construct my own model in the second chapter of my diploma.
