Student: Aleshina Arina

Supervisor: Tatyana Vladimirovna Romanova

Faculty: Faculty of Humanities (Nizhny Novgorod)

Educational Programme: Fundamental and Applied Linguistics (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2019

The present study is to conduct the comprehensive analysis of the key ideologemes and axiologemes in Russian institutional political discourse. The author suggests a way to utilize the synthesis of purely linguistic, statistical, and natural language processing methods in order to reveal the contents of the key cognitive units of the observed discourse. In the process of the study, the author defined the specifics of the Russian institutional political discourse, gathered a corpus of texts belonging to the discourse observed, revealed the key axiospheres of this discourse, and identified the key ideologemes, axiologemes, and the means of representing them in the text. The results of the study allow the author to conclude that a dependence between the axiospheres of a particular discourse, defined by the statistical analysis results, and the key ideologemes and axiologemes, revealed by the linguistic analysis, exists. The suggested method of analysis could potentially be unitized to study any type of discourse.
