Flexible Gender Identity and Its Measurement

The article provides a theoretical and empirical justification for the introduction of flexible gender identity as a new concept in the field of gender studies and psychology. The concept describes a manner of feeling oneself not in terms of one, but multiple genders. The theoretical and empirical advantages of such a perspective are described. A way of measuring the new concept is developed, and the concept is empirically clarified with the results of the present study.
