Linguistic Means of Aestheticization of Neurosis in the Novel of L. Canali "Ognuno soffre la sua ombra"

The study is based on a fundamental understanding of the similarities that can be traced at some language levels (syntactic, lexical, etc.) between Russian and Italian languages belonging to the same language family, but belonging to different groups. The relevance of the work is due, first of all, to the fact that currently the number of studies of the forms of the presence of modern Italian literature in Russian culture, despite the popularity of a number of Italian authors in the Russian reading environment, remains small. The paper presents an analysis of artistic techniques and language tools used by the Italian writer of the XX century Luca Canali in the creation of the novel "Ognuno soffre la suaombra". In the language palette of the author, we were primarily interested in those stylistic techniques and lexical means by which Luca Kanali recreates the pathopsychological, or rather, neurotic States of his characters. Thus, one of the main goals of the work was to identify and analyze the linguistic means of description of neurotic states of the characters in the original Italian text; the second important goal was to suggest practical recommendations for the translation into Russian of those fragments of the text in which the author recreates the features of behavior and psychosomatic condition of the characters, which he defines as neurotics. To achieve these goals, the paper uses various methods of literary research and linguistic analysis of the text, as well as suggests strategies for finding Russian equivalents of certain techniques and language tools contained in the Italian text, and tactical solutions to some translation difficulties, including a description of lexical, stylistic and even compositional transformations which are necessary during the translation process.
