Tokenization of Securities and Market Assets in Light of International Securities Law

Today, the legal framework of tokenization of market assets and securities is not solid enough and therefore, fails to provide 100% security of the rights of both investors and token issuers. This is due to the current unpreparedness of regulators of most developed economies to address the emergence of the new type of the object of civil and securities law. However, there’s the growing list of the jurisdictions where the legislators are undertaking the adequate steps to regulate tokenized securities properly. Thus, we may notice the positive tendency in this regard. The paper sheds the light on the current stage of development of the industry both in the context of international securities law and social-economic context.
