The Institute of Compulsory Medical Measures in Russian Criminal Law

Today in the system of current Russian law there is a need to rethink a considerable quantity of theoretical problems. One of these problematic spheres is operation of the institute of compulsory medical measures. The research is dedicated to the analysis of the institute of compulsory medical measures in Russian criminal law. The set of the social relations characterized by the application of compulsory medical measures constitutes the object of the study. The subject of the research includes the system of laws concerning the institute of compulsory medical measures legal regulation. The regulatory framework consists of Russian criminal law provisions, rules of Russian criminal procedure and other federal laws. The expected outcome is to define a unified approach to compulsory medical measures, establishing some typical features of compulsory medical measures in Russian criminal law and comparing them with peculiarities of such an institute in laws of foreign countries.
