Economic rights are an integral part of general human rights, the implementation and observance of which is developed systematically, on an equal basis with other rights. The work establishes a high degree of correlation of economic rights at the international and national level. We consider ways to protect the economic rights of citizens of the Russian Federation, special attention is paid to the possibility of applying to the European Court of Human Rights. A de jure conclusion is made about the observance of the economic rights of citizens in the Russian Federation, but the practice of the European Court indicates a low level of compliance. It is concluded that it is necessary to continue the extension of the jurisdiction of the ECHR to Russia, in order to protect the economic rights of its citizens.
