This research considers “Bestiaries” series as a part of Soviet and Russian poet and artist D.A.Prigov’s art. The main point of view in this thesis is the statement that these series aim to reflect cultural canon. Providing analysis of the aesthetics of medieval bestiaries and heraldic signs, we will be able to review the semiotic and aesthetic transfer from the Middle Ages to the Soviet and Post-Soviet culture.
