The vitality of the Tatar language in the Nizhny Novgorod region

The study represents the analysis of viability, resourcefulness and position of the Tatar language in the Nizhny Novgorod region, in the areas of indigenous settlement of native speakers of this minority language. The analysis of the language situation in the region is directly related to the processes of globalization and urbanization. The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of the Tatar language, which is widespread in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and to compare the conditions that contribute to the spread and preservation of the vitality of the language in settlements remote from the regional administrative center with those represented in the center of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The research question is to reveal the influence of different social conditions of language existence on its vitality and resourcefulness and to draw a conclusion about the prospects of the Tatar language for further development, because the concept of the vitality of the language includes not only the actual state of the language, but also a forecast for its development in the future.
