The Process of Approbation and Integration of New Multimedia Tools in Coverage of Football Matches by the Example of Preparation and Holding FIFA World Cup 2018

The research is devoted to the study of the current processes in Russian sports television. The idea was to trace the reason for an increase in quality of football live-streams and the holding the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. With the help of structure and functional analyses I determined multimedia tools and distinctive features of live-streams made before the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, between the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the FIFA World Cup 2018 as well as after the FIFA World Cup 2018. By following comparison with these features and tools I found out that the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 had been a preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2018 not only in sports and infrastructural aspects, but also in multimedia. The FIFA World Cup 2018 became a boost for the development of live-streams in Russia and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 was an effective platform for approbation of new multimedia tools.
