The Legal Status of a Proffesional Football Player in Russia and Germany: the Evolution of Regulatory Systems

The work was performed by the author with the aim of identifying the general and particular in the processes of changing the systems of legal acts regulating the legal status of a professional football player in Russia and Germany. Comparing the regulatory legal acts establishing special rights and obligations of such a category of workers as athletes, the author pursued primarily such tasks: systematization of data on sources of law governing the legal status of a professional football player, determining the patterns of evolution of legal regulatory systems on the legal status of a football player -professional, establishing the influence of international agreements on other sources of law on the legal status of a professional football player, characterizing the influence of corporate acts of national football organizations and local acts of clubs on the development of regulatory legal acts on the legal status of a professional football player. As a result of the study, the author came to the conclusion that the system of international and Russian legislation on the rights of professional athletes needed codification, which would help fill a number of gaps existing in the modern regulation of the legal status of this category of workers.
