International Legal Basis of Prevention of Transboundary Environmental Harm

The paper is devoted to the analysis of international legal regulation of relations in the field of prevention of transboundary damage caused to the environment as a result of economic activity. The paper analyzes the sources of international environmental law and the practice of international courts on the prevention of transboundary harm. Uncertainty has been revealed in a number of basic principles concerning the obligations of States to prevent transboundary harm, which makes their universal application difficult.
