Concert and Tour Management in Russia Under the Economic Sanctions (2014 to Present)

This research is devoted to the study of the actual problems of organization of the concert market in Russia in the conditions of the economic sanctions since 2014. The unstable economic situation in Russia has created new challenges for concert and tour management in Russia. The consequences of the imposed sanctions had an impact on many fields, including the music market, mostly negative impact. The paper analyzes the impact of the economic system on cultural industries and the entertainment market, the process of imposing economic sanctions and their consequences. Also in the study, we conduct a documentary analysis, case studies and in-depth interviews with experts from the music industry, which help us to identify the main barriers for the concert and tour management in Russia and the prospects of its development in modern conditions. The significance of the work is that the concert and tour management is considered in the context of political and economic changes in Russia for the first time. In the work, we draw attention to the questions which are needed to be solved for the successful functioning of the music industry in the future, the information obtained during the research can be used for studying the management in the entertainment industry in the current economic conditions.
