The subject of the research is a genesis and modern interpretation of the concept of "occupational hygiene" through the prism of the historical, theoretical and legal aspects of the formation and development of this institution in Russia and abroad, as well as the experience of law enforcement by Russian courts. The object of research is the legal relations arising from the application of labor legislation on occupational health through the prism of various approaches to the interpretation of this concept in the modern world. The aim of the work is a multi-stage analysis of the interpretation of the concept of “occupational hygiene” in the Russian legal field in the context of international experience, identifying problems of legal regulation, and proposing improvements and changes in legislation. The research methodology consists of historical, systemic comparative methods. In the course of the study, a comprehensive analysis of the genesis of occupational health legislation in Russia and individual foreign countries was carried out, which resulted in the formation of a holistic picture of the development of this institution. The heoretical and legal aspects and the specifics of legal regulation of occupational health were also studied. One of the advantages of this study is the extensive use of foreign regulatory and doctrinal base.
