Gender inequalities originated many centuries ago, and now the situation is gradually improving - the gender gap in equality is narrowing, the socialization of women is becoming global, and opportunities are emerging in the successful development of a woman’s personality. With the development of a market economy, women are increasingly focused on employment in the professional sphere, which is largely due to the need to improve the material well-being of the family, the need for self-assertion, self-esteem, public recognition, economic independence, success and power. The market transformation of the Russian economy has led to significant changes in employment. The most important of these was a significant reduction in the number of employees and a decrease in the level of employment. These processes were not gender neutral, and this affected the level and extent of the reduction in the number of employed women and their inefficient use in the labor market. At present, the increase in the economic activity of women is not sufficiently supported by the legislative base and the development of the social sphere, which complicates the solution of the so-called “women's issue” and leads to negative consequences. The state, to some extent, has lost control over these processes. The paper explored gender differences and proposed a positive scenario for the development of the personality of women in Islamic regions through the study of representatives of Jordan and the North Caucasus.
