The research is dedicated to the translation of the emotive and expressive vocabulary (in case of modern series) and defines peculiarities of screen translation as a special case of audiovisual translation. We have distinguished different types of emotive and expressive vocabulary and regularities of translation typical to the format chosen (the recipient of the information receives data via different channels at once: audial and visual) and physical limitations typical to it (deficit of time and space to place the translation). On the basis of the research we have identified a list of factors which can impact and limit the translation process and presented the quantitative estimation of the regularities identified in the material (the “Scream Queens” TV-series, 2015).
