Any large Russian city has a number of features that distinguish it from cities in other countries. To a greater or lesser extent, but they form the life of the townspeople. I was interested in the phenomenon that only a lucky tourist will be able to find abroad, but in our country this is an ordinary thing - ZhEK-art.

So far, the necessary research work has not been carried out to categorize the types and differences between housing-art and other objects of urban space, although their appearance fell on the last century. Therefore, it is impossible to talk about a more or less formed discourse, terminology within the framework of housing and art. Nevertheless, it seems to me that it is extremely important to begin this work while we have the opportunity to see these objects with our own eyes.
