The Influence of Russian Cinema on the Development of Domestic Tourism

This study will examine the influence of Russian cinema on domestic tourism on the example of Andrei Zvyagintsev's Leviathan, shot in a semi-abandoned village of the Russian north and telling about the fate of a small man opposing the omnipotent power of the state. Conducting a systematic film analysis of the picture, a survey among the audience and taking into account the current trends in Russian domestic and cinema-induced tourism considered in the theoretical part, we analyze the reasons for the furore of the tape among Western and domestic critics and the factors of tourism development in the field of filming among Russians and foreign travelers.
