Modeling of Financial Flows within the Framework of the Balance of Payments of the Russian Federation

While there has been a lot of significant studies on the balance of payments models, this paper focuses on analyzing financial flows between Russian economy and the world’s economies and the mechanisms accompanying these processes. Numerical and analytical methods such as decomposition approach are applied to determine suitable features and to build a model. The model allows considering various scenarios of the state of the balance of payments in Russia depending on a combination of external conditions.
