The Analysis of the Development Prospects of Solar Energy in Spain

The paper analyzes the fuel and energy sector in Spain and its features. The special place in the work is the analysis of renewable energy sources in the energy sector of the Spanish economy. There are statistics on the industry, the main conclusions on the development of solar generation in Spain. The paper studies the Levelized Energy Cost (LCOE) as a benchmark for assessing the economic viability of different generation technologies, which allows you to compare different energy technologies at their cost. LCOE can be used for decision support. However, final statements about the economic viability of the technology cannot be made on the basis of a single analysis using the LCOE method.
