Video Blog as a Media Tool for Promotion of Social and Political Satire

This paper is devoted to video blogging and modern Russian socio-political satire, that is an important multifunctional tool for interacting with reality both at the society layer and at the layer of its organizing institution - the state. Invention of video blog as a new channel of communication with the audience affects, firstly, the content side of social and political satire, providing an opportunity to address topics that are unacceptable in traditional public media because of censorship. Secondly, it affects the authors themselves, changing the model of communication with the audience by excluding from it such mediating and restrictive element as an editorial policy.
