Strengths and Weaknesses of Family Medium-Sized Business in Italy at International Market (on the Example of Barilla Company)

This study presents an analysis of the middle-sized family business in Italy, operating on the international market, using the example of TNCs of medium size - the company Barilla, the leader of the pasta market. The strengths and weaknesses of this company are explored using SWOT analyzes compiled from two points of view: its position in the market as TNCs and as a family company. The Barilla case is being investigated in the context of the specific problems of an average family business in the EU and in Italy. In conclusion, some examples of family entrepreneurship in Russia were considered.
