The purpose of this study is a complex analysis of language units such as names of pharmacies and medical institutions existing in Nizhny Novgorod. Several methods are used. There could be a big number of ergonyms which had been created by transliteration. The premise that brings this assumption is in the fact that Nizhny Novgorod is a multi-ethnic city, where people actively use vocabulary of foreign languages.
