Application of Blockchain Technology in Occupational Safety and Health

The objective of the given research is to consider the possibility of applying blockchain technology in occupational safety and health and to develop possible use cases. The first chapter discusses the theoretical and legal aspects of occupational safety and health in Russia, analyzes the problems existing in this field, describes the basics of blockchain technology and smart contracts, describes their advantages and disadvantages. In addition, the first chapter contains the literature review and a review of existing solutions. The second chapter presents a comparative analysis of the types of blockchain networks, justifies the choice of platform the most suitable for a corporate use, discusses possible ways of storing information outside the blockchain. At the same time, this chapter analyzes the role of the government, highlights possible risks that may arise during the implementation of the blockchain and describes possible blockchain use cases in occupational safety and health. The third chapter presents the high-level architecture of the designed system.
