Intellectual Property and Its Role in the Functioning of the Global Economy

The work is devoted to the study of the economic content of intellectual property. The author reveals the concept, structure, methods of assessing intellectual property and the role of the state in its effective use. The calculation of the export competitiveness of the results of intellectual activity for the countries with the largest number of patent applications is carried out. Particular attention is paid to the impact of intellectual property on the process of economic growth of the national economy. As a result of the econometric analysis, the author determines which categories of intellectual capital influence the growth of GDP on the example of Russia.
