Nowadays ballroom culture becomes more and more popular. In the recent years this culture began to develop with phenomenal speed. Deferences to the ballroom can be found in a large number of fashion shows, shoots and collections of latest seasons. There are many reasons of a such rush around ballroom culture. The purpose of this research is to analyze why ballroom, which is also called vogue, became so popular, which relevant issues it affects and to create a collection of menswear. In order to be more accurate in answering questions, which are related to the ballroom, the roots of this culture should be studied.The study consists of several stages.Firstly the history of such phenomenon as cross-dressing which is a direct premise to the appearance of vogue was analyzed. Then drag scene, which is closely connected to vogue too was examined.Next to the research of history of vogue and the main themes, which this culture illuminates was done.And after that key factors, that influence the relevance of ballroom nowadays were determined. Moreover, attention was paid to the study of the appearance and costumes of ballroom dancers and a visual row was made, which helped to establish parallels between forms and details of costumes and questions of gender and self-expression. As a result, factors which have an influence on ballroom culture were determined and a collection of menswear for festive event was created.
