Job Search Methods for the First Job of University Graduates: Intensity and Effectiveness

This study focuses on analysis of the frequency of use and effectiveness of specific job search methods by graduates of Moscow and St. Petersburg in the period 2010-2015. It is based on selective observation of the employment of graduates conducted by the federal state statistics service in 2016 among graduates of higher and secondary professional organizations in Russia. The qualification work consists of an introduction, the main part, represented by two chapters, conclusion, list of references and applications. The introduction presents the relevance of the study, its practical significance, identifies its goals, objectives, key research concepts, and highlights the object and subject. The first chapter presents a review of the theoretical foundations of job search process, the main job search models and analysis of empirical researches The second chapter provides information on the empirical base and methods of analysis used in the collection of primary data, determines the frequency of job search methods use and the effectiveness of job search methods in general and by group (gender, form of study, specialty, etc.)
