Forecasting the Price Dynamics of Software Taking into Account the News Background on the Steam Digital Distribution Platform

The object of this research paper is the computer games market on online distribution platform Steam. Computer games industry has been selected because it represents huge and significant part of the entertainment industry. Market was analyzed and the variety of econometric models was estimated as part of the research. The core aim was to predict the dynamics of the price of the software realized on Steam. Also statistically significant difference between genres and factors influencing seasonal sales were detected.
