"Novaya Gazeta" Virtual Museum (Creative Format)

The current graduation paper is devoted to the creation of the concept of the virtual Museum of sociopolitical publication "Novaya Gazeta", as well as the preparation of the prototype of the first part of the exhibition. In the course of the research the author considered the influence of the digital culture on the forms of preservation of both personal and collective memory. The phenomenon of the virtual Museum was analyzed and the existing typologies of online exhibitions were examined. Moreover, the author studied the phenomenon of corporate museums and identified the features of the network museums of the organisations. To understand the approach to the development of the concept of the "Novaya Gazeta" virtual Museum the main types of storytelling in digital culture were identified and the characteristics of multimedia storytelling – the most relevant type of digital story for a creative project - were highlighted. In the practical part, the author described the concept of the future Museum of the newspaper as well as its main structure, defined the target audience and the importance of the exhibition for consumers. In addition, the organizational and production model of the study, terms of implementation and options for monetization of the online Museum were presented. The results of the study were the complete concept of the "Novaya Gazeta" virtual Museum and a created sketch of its first part. Furthermore, the author displays the definition of the term "corporate virtual Museum" for the first time, and also provides with recommendations for the creation of virtual museums for organizations and the development of multimedia storytelling.
