Key Business Processes Analysis and Improvement

Nowadays companies want to have competitive advantages. A key business process of an organization that produce qualify products without wastes is an example of a competitive advantage. A problem of the research is that there is a potential to improve the business process despite continuous improvements as part of the «zero waste» strategy implemented by Factory X. The problem is solved it two stages. First, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Certification, Timekeeping, Critical Incident Technique are used to understand the business process in general. Second, the analysis of the staff work was carried out using Observation, Operator Balance Chart, Competency Matrix. The result of the study is a program of improvements that reduces several defects, eliminates operations that do not add value to consumers and equalizes the work of operators.
