Research of Methods for Predicting the Financial Condition of Companies Regarding the Food Industry

The paper presents a study of the companies’ financial condition analysis and forecasting methods. The investigation focuses on the features of Russian food industry as the socially significant economic sector, affecting the state functioning as a whole. This paper involves the research of existing financial condition analysis and forecasting methods, Russian food industry condition analysis, and the empirical part. The main features of food industry are formulated to consider them during the method development. Considered methods are grouped by their general principles, and the comparative tables are presented in the paper. The result of the study is the author’s method of food enterprises financial condition forecasting. To test the model, several food Russian enterprises, having accessible reporting, are selected. There are large, medium and small enterprises of five each. According to the results of the study, conclusions are formulated regarding the accuracy and practical significance of the model.
